Deal | Universally panned Suicide Squad game will be free on Prime Gaming with 48 hours to claim
Early Amazon Prime Day deals have already started rolling in, but Amazon also has a surprise for Prime subscribers who don't want to spend more money during its annual discount bonanza. Amazon's latest announcement reveals three game giveaways for Prime subscribers, although it's a bit of a mixed bag in terms of quality.
Amazon is giving away what is arguably the most hated game of 2024, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, along with Rise of the Tomb Raider and Chivalry 2. The Prime Day giveaway will only be available to Amazon Prime Gaming subscribers, and only on July 16 and July 17, to boot.
Ironically, this is a perfect opportunity for Amazon Prime subscribers to try out the almost-universally panned Suicide Squad game without having to risk wasting $69.99 on a game they may genuinely dislike. At launch, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was nearly universally panned for repetitive, predictable gameplay and for feeling soulless and generic. That said, many praised the game for having a reasonably interesting story hiding behind its monotony.
Chivalry 2 and Rise of the Tomb Raider, on the other hand, while a little older than Suicide Squad have both been received far more positively, with Rise of the Tomb Raider sitting pretty at 94% positive ratings on Steam and 2022's Chivalry 2 hovering at around 81% positive ratings.
