New 22 kg e-bike features 150 Nm DJI motor, 1,500 W peak power, and 700 Wh battery

Following recent coverage of the new DJI Avinox drive systems, concrete product announcements featuring these ultra-powerful mid-drive motors are beginning to surface. Among them is the Tarok Ultra 2027 from German manufacturer Raymon, equipped with the Avinox M2S motor.

The motor delivers up to 150 Nm of torque and a peak power output of 1,500 W. In compliance with German regulations, its continuous rated power is capped at 250 W. Energy is supplied by an integrated 700 Wh battery that cannot be easily removed. Despite its high-end specs, the bike weighs just 48.5 lbs (22 kg), largely thanks to its carbon-fiber frame.

For suspension, Raymon pairs a RockShox Lyrik Select+ fork (160 mm travel) with a RockShox Super Deluxe rear shock (150 mm travel). Drivetrain duties are handled by a 12-speed SRAM setup, while stopping power is delivered by Magura Gustav Elite four-piston hydraulic disc brakes with 203 mm rotors front and rear.

The Raymon Tarok Ultra features a mullet wheel setup—combining a 29-inch front wheel for superior roll-over performance with a 27.5-inch rear wheel for enhanced agility. The e-bike is currently listed in four frame sizes for €7,999. As is standard for high-end mountain bikes, pedals are not included. Given Raymon's focus, availability is effectively limited to the European market.
