MapFour Roam ST: New Full-Suspension E-Bike
The MapFour Roam (ST) is a full-suspension SUV e-bike engineered for high-comfort touring. Available in both classic diamond and low-step-through frame variants, it combines front and rear air suspension with heavy-duty components to deliver maximum stability across diverse terrains.

Manufacturer MapFour has added a new e-bike series to its lineup with the introduction of the Roam. Alongside the standard diamond-frame model, MapFour is offering a low-step variant designated as the Roam ST. The bike is listed by the manufacturer at €2,599, though the regular retail price is set at €2,799. MapFour operates in several European countries.

Designed to boost trekking comfort, the Roam (ST) falls squarely into the SUV e-bike category. Consequently, it features a dual-suspension setup comprising a 100 mm travel suspension fork up front and a 60 mm rear shock. Depending on the frame configuration, the total weight reaches up to 34 kilograms—a substantial figure, though typical for fully equipped SUV e-bikes in this segment.

Performance is driven by a Mivice X700 mid-drive motor capable of delivering up to 100 Nm of torque. Paired with a torque sensor, the system dynamically responds to rider input, while a 720 Wh battery provides the energy supply. Power is transferred to the rear wheel via a Michelin carbon belt driving a five-speed Shimano Nexus internal gear hub.

As expected for a utility-focused trekking bike, standard equipment includes fenders, a rear luggage rack, and a kickstand. On the software side, integrated RideGuard functionality offers GPS tracking, smartphone-based unlocking, and turn-by-turn navigation directly on the handlebar display.
