CT-B 1.0: E-bike comes with a powerful mid-drive motor from Bosch
A new low-step e-bike combines a powerful mid-drive motor with a virtually maintenance-free belt drive designed for near-silent operation under ideal conditions. Featuring comprehensive stock equipment, it is built to serve as a versatile daily commuter and touring companion.

BESV has expanded its lineup with the CT-B 1.0 Low Step, a classic trekking e-bike fully equipped for daily commuting and long-distance tours. Drive power is provided by a fifth-generation Bosch Performance PX mid-drive motor delivering 90 Nm of torque, paired with a high-capacity 800 Wh battery. BESV claims a maximum range of up to 150 km (~93 miles). Integrated into the frame for a clean appearance, the battery is removable, allowing it to be charged away from the bike.

The CT-B 1.0 comes fully equipped for everyday utility, featuring front and rear mudguards, integrated lighting, a luggage rack, and a factory-fitted frame lock. Power transmission is handled by a carbon belt drive rather than a conventional bicycle chain. Gear shifting relies on a 5-speed Shimano internal hub; while five ratios are somewhat limited on paper, the motor easily compensates for this during real-world riding. In typical trekking fashion, the e-bike features a suspension fork but lacks a rear shock absorber. Hydraulic disc brakes handle stopping power.

At 30.5 kg (~67 lbs), the CT-B 1.0 is fairly heavy. However, its maximum gross weight allowance is rated at 160 kg (~353 lbs), leaving nearly 130 kg (~286 lbs) of total payload capacity for the rider and cargo. The BESV CT-B 1.0 Low Step is available directly from the manufacturer for €4,499. BESV operates in European markets as well as several international regions.
