Li Jie Louis teases OnePlus Ace 3 as “performance killer”

The OnePlus Ace 3, which will likely launch as the OnePlus 12R in the international markets, is expected to debut soon. Before the official unveiling, the President of OnePlus China, Li Jie Louis, uploaded a teaser poster on his Weibo account.

In the caption of the post, Li Jie Louis acknowledged the past success of the OnePlus Ace lineup. He says that Ace 2 was a “phenomenal hit,” and the Ace 2 Pro has surpassed the record set by the standard device. Now, Louis is claiming that Ace 3 has broken the records that previous smartphones of the lineup have set.

The official poster of the OnePlus Ace 3 also shares the same message. It claims to be a “performance killer.” For context, the Ace 2 Pro sits comfortably among the high-performance devices with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. It achieved an overall score of 1,642,418 points on AnTuTu, which is suggested to be surpassed by the upcoming device.

However, according to Digital Chat Station, a reliable tipster, the Ace 3 won’t come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Instead, it is expected to pack Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. If that’s the case, the performance jump won’t be massive. Besides, it is tipped to feature a 1.5K BOE X1 display, which aims to deliver a display performance similar to the OnePlus 12.

As for the battery, the OnePlus Ace 3 is reported to feature a 5500 mAh cell with 100-watt fast charging. Camera-wise, the smartphone is expected to have a 50 MP, 8 MP, and 2 MP triple camera setup on the back with a 16 MP selfie shooter on the front.
