Lenovo's Legion Tab Gen 3 became official in the global market at CES 2025, and since then, the gaming tablet has proven to be quite popular. It went out of stock and got restocked a couple of times, and now, Lenovo has quietly upped the price tag of its new compact Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 gaming tab.
Looking back, the tablet's starting launch price was $499.99, and now, on the official site, the Tab Gen 3 starts at $549.99, a $50 price bump from what it originally went for. Another thing to note is that the gaming tablet is only officially available on Lenovo's official store. That is, you can't get it from major retailers like Amazon and Best Buy.
The closest competitor is the RedMagic Nova, which currently has an upper hand over Lenovo's gaming tablet when it comes to the price. To fill you in, the base configuration of the RedMagic Nova still costs $499.00, and besides the slightly lower price tag, RedMagic's tab packs the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version.
This overclocked SoC, combined with the active cooling fan, makes the RedMagic gaming tablet offer slightly better performance than the Legion Tab Gen 3. Of course, even with the price bump, Lenovo's offering is still a solid pick for gamers who prefer compact devices.
For context, the Legion Tab Gen 3 features an 8.8-inch display, while the RedMagic Nova sports a 10.9-inch screen. Of course, for gamers looking for a capable Android gaming device, it would also be a good idea to wait for the recently announced Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 handhelds to be available before making a purchase decision.
