The horror franchise that has left its mark on video game history, Silent Hill, seems to have a bright future ahead. According to a leaker, Konami has big plans for the coming years, which should delight fans.
It must be said that fans are pretty well off at the moment with the release of the Silent Hill 2 remake, which has allowed them to relive hours of thrills. And that's not all, because in the fall, it will be the turn of the highly promising Silent Hill f, set in Japan, to make its appearance on Xbox Series, PS5, and computer worldwide. However, this franchise is not the only one on the market, and Resident Evil also has a few tricks up its sleeve to appeal to gamers, such as Resident Evil 9 Requiem, which is scheduled for release in February 2026.
But according to Dusk Golem, who goes by the pseudonym AestheticGamer, Konami has many plans for its franchise. In fact, according to him, the studio plans to release an average of one game per year. This news should please fans, who will certainly be expecting announcements between now and the end of the year after the release of the next title.
So, the next game could well be released at the end of 2026 or early 2027. However, it is highly likely that the studio will not be able to keep up the pace every time, as the teams could quickly become exhausted by such a fast pace. It must be said that, in the face of competition, there is no time to waste, and projects follow one another at a rapid pace. However, in doing so, the development teams are subjected to a high workload. Not to mention that budget restrictions are sometimes put in place.
Nevertheless, Konami seems determined to try to keep up this pace and release an average of one game per year. This could please fans, who won't have to wait years before getting excited again, provided that the games are of high quality and the teams can keep up with the pace.
