Team Jade and TiMi Studio Group’s Delta Force just pulled off an incredible milestone. The game smashed its all-time Steam peak player count by garnering 177,862 players on July 6, 2025, with 88,100 active players at the time of writing. The game debuted on PC just seven months ago and is slated to launch on Xbox Series S|X and PlayStation 5 on August 19, which couldn’t be a better time for the game.
In an official announcement, TiMi Studio Group proudly stated that their consistent efforts have born fruit:
“All our hard work has paid off: the console version you’ve been waiting for is officially launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S on August 19.”
Delta Force’s new all-time peak is nearly double that of Call of Duty’s peak 30-day player count of 92,182 on Steam. The numbers become all the more impressive when we consider that Call of Duty HQ spans several titles, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, and Warzone.
And it stands to reason. Delta Force is a free-to-play multiplayer FPS shooter that’s been pumping out fresh content at no added cost to gamers. Players can enjoy a campaign, extractions, and PvP game modes.
But this surge isn’t just a flash in the pan. Delta Force has consistently maintained an average player count of over 80,000 in the last month. The game has built steady momentum leading up to its upcoming console debut.
With its release on the Xbox Series S|X and PlayStation 5, it's predicted that player counts will skyrocket, considering crossplay and cross-progression are supported. This means players can play with their friends or switch to other platforms without losing their progress.
In addition, console players will be given access to all content that’s been released so far, including all game modes, DLC, and operators. In addition, Delta Force Season 5 “Break” launches on July 8, 10 PM ET. The new season introduces a solo queue for the Black Hawk Down campaign, a collection room, a new operator “Tempest”, and two new maps: Cyclone and Prison.
