Nexon Korea launched Blue Archive on Steam as a free game on July 4, 2025. Within three days of this launch, this tactical RPG title received over 8,700 player reviews on the platform, and over 93% of them are positive.

Developed by Nexon Games, Blue Archive originally launched in Japan in February 2021 and later made a global debut in November 2021. This tactical RPG has recently made a Steam debut, specifically on July 4, 2025, and this free game has garnered over 8,700 player reviews in just three days.

What's rather impressive is that 93% of all the current reviews are positive. That means over 8,000 of the current player reviews are good. All of this suggests that the title is worth trying, especially for those who are into tactical RPG games.

If you're interested in knowing more, Blue Archive is known for its anime-inspired art style, and there are detailed character animations. In the game, players get to take the role of the Sensei, a teacher for the peacekeeping organization SCHALE. The story progresses as the teacher resolves issues that have arisen right after the mysterious disappearance of the General Student Council president.

Although the game's combat system is mostly automated, players can activate character skills at key points during the battles. On that note, the squad formation plays a crucial role in fights. The good part is that the team's ability can be enhanced by upgrading weapons and armor.

Besides the main story, this currently free game on Steam has sub-stories and side activities that players can explore. These showcase the club activities and daily lives of the students. Nexon Games has also integrated a gacha system, which allows players to use earned in-game currency to expand the team.

Other than that, this free game has relatively relaxed minimum system requirements, and it is categorized as Steam Deck Playable. Check out the video attached below to get an even better idea of this tactical RPG title.
