The Galaxy S26 series has been in the news a lot lately, but that shouldn't be surprising, as it's Samsung's next big announcement, aside from the Galaxy Z TriFold. Last week, it was reported that the entire lineup will get faster wireless charging; now, a leak has revealed details about their wired charging specifications.
According to a post on X by Anthony (@The Galox_), two models of the Galaxy S26 series will not be getting a boost in wired charging speeds. These two devices are the Galaxy S26 and the Galaxy S26 Plus, which will charge at 25W and 45W, respectively, just like their predecessors. The Galaxy S26 Ultra, on the other hand, is said to support 60W fast wired charging, an upgrade from the 45W of the Galaxy S25 Ultra (512GB version currently available on Amazon for $1099.99).
An interesting point added by the leaker is that despite the Galaxy S26 charging at a lower wattage than the iPhone 17, which supports 35W fast charging, Samsung's smartphone will charge faster. The claim is backed by a screenshot from GSMArena's charging test, showing the Galaxy S25 (with a 4,000mAh battery capacity) charging at 25W but reaching a full charge faster than the iPhone 17 (with a 3,988mAh battery capacity), which charges at 35W. The Galaxy S26 is reportedly equipped with an even bigger 4,300mAh battery.
Notwithstanding, the Galaxy S26's 25W wired charging speed is quite disappointing, considering several smartphones charge significantly faster. For instance, the new OnePlus 15 charges at up to 120W and ships with a wired adapter, unlike Samsung's smartphones.
The source also revealed the wireless charging speeds of the three phones, and they match an earlier report. The Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus will support 20W wireless charging, an upgrade from the 15W of their predecessors. The top model, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, will support up to 25W with a compatible wireless charger, surpassing the 15W of the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
