After almost three years, the Bose QuietComfort Headphones are overdue for a follow-up, and now a massive leak has shown us what to expect. The leaked official images reveal Bose has made some design changes and will be releasing the new headphones in a range of colors.

The Bose QuietComfort Headphones were released nearly three years ago, launching alongside the QuietComfort Ultra Headphones and the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds. While the two Ultra models received successors in 2025, the standard QuietComfort Headphones are expected to get a follow-up this year, and ahead of the launch, a leak has revealed what the headphones will look like.

The leak comes courtesy of OnLeaks and Hoteudeals, and they include official press renders and marketing images of the new headphones. These images show all the color options from various angles and reveal a couple of features, too.

The Bose QuietComfort Headphones (2nd Gen) will be available in six colors according to the leak. These colors are White Smoke, Black, Dewdrop Mint, Rosewood Mauve, Eucalyptus Green, and Hazelnut Taupe. However, it seems some of them are limited edition colors that might not be available at launch.

The first gen headphones (available on Amazon for $359) were available in three colors at launch, but have received five additional colors since their release in September 2023. If it turns out that all six colors are released at launch, Bose will most likely announce more in the future.

With respect to design, the new QuietComfort Headphones (2nd Gen) are sporting some changes such as a redesigned headband. Bose has also moved the power button/Bluetooth switch on the back of the right earcup to the bottom, but the microphone grilles are still present. The images also show a USB-C port, volume control buttons, and a multi-function button on one of the earcups.

In terms of features, the leak reveals the QuietComfort Headphones (2nd Gen) will have QuietControl ANC (active noise cancellation), TrueSpatial Tech, and more soft, synthetic leather. The headphones will fold just like the previous generation and will come with a carrying case.

There are still so many unknowns about the upcoming headphones, but there's a chance these details may surface before Bose launches the QuietComfort Headphones (2nd Gen). Although there's no release date yet, there are speculations they may launch in September based on the release date of the first generation model.
