Nothing's CMF sub-brand launches Clip Pro open-ear earbuds at a surprising price

Nothing's CMF sub-brand has introduced the Clip Pro, a pair of open-ear earbuds aimed at addressing the wearing-fatigue and weak-bass problems that have dogged the category. The earbuds use a three-point clip design with a 0.5 mm titanium-wire C-bridge, weigh 6.5 g each, and pair a 13.8 mm listening ball with a 10.8 mm dual-magnet dynamic driver. Nothing brands the bass-compensation feature “Ultra Bass Technology,” though independent testing will show whether it overcomes the low-end problems inherent in open-ear form factors.
The Clip Pro is Hi-Res Audio certified and supports LDAC, AAC, and SBC. An app-controlled “sound seal system” attenuates mid-to-high frequencies in an attempt to reduce audio leakage, with Off, Calls Only, and Audio and Calls modes. Voice pickup is handled by a dedicated Voice Processing Unit and four microphones. The case carries over CMF's rotatable Smart Dial for volume and playback control.
Battery life is rated at 10 hours per bud and 32.5 hours total with the case, stretching to 36 hours in Long Battery Mode; a 10-minute charge is claimed to add four hours. The buds only have Bluetooth 5.4, a specification that is now several generations old and unremarkable at this price point alongside IP54 resistance, dual-device connectivity, and a low-latency gaming mode.
The CMF Clip Pro costs $99 / £79 in Dark Grey, Light Grey, and Coral, with a limited-time preorder price of $79. That price sits well above CMF's usual $20–$50 range and lands closer to Nothing's own mainline Ear lineup, marking a notable step upmarket for a sub-brand built on aggressive budget pricing. Shipping starts August 15, 2026, in the US, UK, and Japan, and September 15, 2026, in Europe and the rest of the world, excluding India.
