A now-deleted campaign post from CMF by Nothing revealed more about the upcoming Clip Pro than intended, showing off its clip-on earbud design before being pulled following backlash over its AI-generated imagery.

CMF by Nothing's rumored open-ear form factor for the Clip Pro was confirmed through the company's own campaign in a post that has since been deleted following backlash over its use of AI-generated imagery.

The post, captioned "Built to move. Styled to stay.," featured a model wearing a small clip-style earpiece on the outer ear, matching the open wearable stereo (OWS) design previously reported for the Clip Pro.

AI disclosure watermark sparks backlash

Users quickly flagged irregularities in the campaign image, including inconsistent skin texture and what appeared to be a separately composited earpiece. A faint watermark on the image itself confirmed those suspicions: "Contains AI-generated imagery. Any resemblance to real persons is purely coincidental." CMF deleted the post shortly after the disclosure drew criticism in the replies.

Hasty compositing raises doubts about accuracy

The clip-on earpiece in the now-deleted image shows uneven lighting relative to the rest of the shot, consistent with either a rushed Photoshop composite or an AI-generated image. Either way, the execution looks hasty enough that exact details such as the fit and angle on the ear shouldn't be taken as gospel, even though the clip-on form factor itself lines up with Dr. Android's earlier leak.

Full specifications and pricing remain unannounced, with more details expected at the August 4 launch.
