Khadas Tea Pro portable wireless DAC delivers balanced headphone compatibility with a magnetic phone mount, high-resolution audio codecs, and an 11-hour runtime

The Khadas Tea Pro enables smartphone, laptop, and tablet owners to add high-resolution music playback for balanced and unbalanced wired headphones, with hours of playback thanks to a built-in battery.
The Tea Pro can drive regular headphones through a 3.5 mm unbalanced jack and balanced headphones through a 4.4 mm balanced jack thanks to its ESS ES9039Q2M DAC chip. The unit supports wired input and wireless reception of high-resolution audio (DSD512, 768 kHz PCM, LDAC, aptX HD, and aptX Adaptive), while outputting analog audio with a signal-to-noise ratio of 122 dB and THD+N as low as -118 dB. A two-stage gain allows the unit to drive both low- and high-impedance headphones.
A 2,100 mAh battery provides up to 8 hours of wired runtime and up to 11 hours of wireless runtime, says Khadas. A 0.95-inch, 120 × 240-pixel AMOLED display allows the user to see changes made to the EQ, gain, and other audio settings.
The DAC measures only 7.85 mm (0.31 in.) thick and weighs 96 g (3.39 oz.). It magnetically attaches to and hides behind phones, such as Apple iPhones with MagSafe, thanks to its 102.7 x 64.0 mm (4.04 x 2.52 in.) size. The Tea Pro can also be used with game consoles thanks to its UAC 1.0 and UAC 2.0 USB audio compatibility for use with PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox consoles.
The Khadas Tea Pro portable DAC is priced at $199 and is available on Amazon.
