Jsaux's latest product is a battery mod kit that replaces the battery of the Asus ROG Ally with a much bigger one. The kit also comes with an aluminum heatsink and a bigger back cover for the handheld gaming PC.

The ROG Ally is one of the popular Windows gaming handhelds available on the market, and while it is not perfect, it is more than decent. Sadly, one of its drawbacks is its battery life which Asus tried to fix in the ROG Ally X by giving it a much bigger battery. Now, Jsaux has released a battery kit that allows owners of the regular ROG Ally to install a bigger battery which should take the battery life closer to that of the ROG Ally X.

Officially called the Battery & Thermal Upgrade Kit with Back Cover for ROG Ally, the kit includes a 65Wh battery, which is more than 50% larger than the 40Wh battery that the ROG Ally (currently available to buy on Amazon for $449.99) ships with. Jsaux claims the larger battery provides up to 50% more playtime than the original.

Jsaux says the battery kit comes with a precision-engineered aluminum heatshield which runs cooler than stock, thus, improving the battery lifespan and overall efficiency of the ROG Ally. Although it is stated that the heatsink that comes with the kit isn't compatible with a 2230 to 2280 SSD adapter. There are also screws and tools you need to carry out the battery replacement. It also includes a new back plate as the original won't work with the bigger battery.

The Jsaux Battery & Thermal Upgrade Kit is priced at $79.99, although the listing says it costs $89.99. It is currently sold out but you can choose to be notified when it is available. Buyers can take the kit to a professional to install for them, but if you choose to do it yourself, Jsaux has recorded a video showing how it is done. There's also a written tutorial, if you prefer that.
