The dual-cam Insta360 Luna Ultra could cost €1,050, says wild leak.
Fresh leaks suggest the Insta360 Luna Ultra will shatter price expectations, potentially breaching the €1,000 mark in Europe. While initial rumors estimated a base price of ¥5,299 (~€680), new data factoring in 23% VAT puts the Luna Ultra at ~€1,050 and the Luna Pro at ~€850.
Just as DJI is previewing the Osmo Pocket 4P (Pro) in Cannes, a leak suggests the battle for the ultimate gimbal camera of 2026 might’ve just taken an expensive turn.
Early reports from tipster Digital Chat Station said the upcoming Insta360 Luna Ultra could start at ¥5,299 (which converts to roughly $735 / €680) for the body only, while the all-inclusive bundle is expected to go for ¥6,499 (approx. $900 / €835).
Now, a fresh leak circulating on social media suggests that global customers (particularly in Europe) might be looking at a much steeper reality. The info hints that once local taxes and European VAT (averaging 23%) are factored in, the pricing for the Insta360 Luna lineup is expected to reach unprecedented (for a gimbal camera) territory.
Insta360 Luna Pro: ~€850
Insta360 Luna Ultra: ~€1,050
Of course, the leak should be taken with a healthy dose of skepticism, but if the prices turn out to be correct, they likely refer to the bundle version (with extra accessories) - something like DJI Osmo Pocket 4’s Creator Combo.
Either way, crossing the psychological barrier of €1,000 would shift the Luna Ultra out of the "vlogging accessory" category and place it in direct competition with mirrorless cameras.
The justifying force behind the rumored price remains the hardware in the single-cam Luna Pro and dual-cam Luna Ultra - a massive 1-inch main sensor, a secondary 3x optical zoom lens, and the innovative detachable OLED touchscreen that doubles as a remote control.
Once again, the timing of this leak is important. As DJI officially previews the Osmo Pocket 4P today at the Cannes Film Festival, Insta360 appears ready to trade blows on specs, even if it means asking for an arm and a leg.
