Exclusive: Insta360 Luna Ultra - Basic, Creator Bundle prices tipped ahead of launch

After giving you an exclusive first look at retail box of the Insta360 Luna Ultra, and following yesterday's report on the early pre-orders for the gimbal camera, which went live on a German retailer’s website, we are bringing you a first sneak peek at the planned pricing for the still-unannounced DJI Osmo Pocket rival.

The European price of the Luna Ultra is now expected to start at €799. As far as we know, this is the price for the Basic Bundle. Meanwhile, just like DJI has a Creator Combo package, the Insta360 Luna Ultra will get its own Creator Bundle (that's the official name). The pricing info for this one is a bit more vague, potentially going up by €150 compared to the Basic Bundle.

Dual-cam Insta360 Luna Ultra to start at €799 in Europe; Creator Bundle might break gimbal camera price records

The US prices shouldn't be too different. In fact, the European price leak aligns closely with info shared by Insta360's CEO, who said the Luna Ultra should start at around $780. For reference, the EU starting price of the new DJI Osmo Pocket 4 is €499 for the Essential Combo and €619 for the Creator Combo.

Just as rumored, Insta360 thinks of the Luna Ultra as a compact DSLR alternative meant for pro-grade videography, with features like i-Log video, 32-bit audio, and a unique detachable remote, which might explain the higher prices. That said, we should remember the dual-cam Osmo Pocket 4P is yet to be announced, and the same applies to the single-cam Insta360 Luna Pro.
