The large family of Cloud headsets by HyperX has just welcomed a new member, namely the MIX Buds. The main highlight of these earbuds is the dual connectivity, which allows the user to connect the MIX Buds to a wide range of devices via Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz wireless (a USB-C dongle is present in the retail package).
The list of technical specs includes a frequency range of 10 Hz to 20.4 kHz, DTS Headphone:X support for providing a virtual surround sound experience, 12 mm drivers, and an omnidirectional MEMS microphone for audio chat or phone calls.
The 2.4 GHz wireless adapter can also be used with smartphones and tablets to enjoy reduced latency, thus leading to an improved gaming experience. According to the manufacturer, the Bluetooth connection of the HyperX MIX uses the classic SBC audio codec and provides a range of up to 20 meters. The battery life can go up to 10 hours on a single charge, and the charging case allows for a total autonomy of up to 33 hours.
The price of the HyperX MIX Buds is around the equivalent of US$160 in Europe, but US customers can get it already for just US$99.99. This product should be available worldwide via multiple online and offline retailers before the end of this month.
