Huawei's new 14-inch laptop tipped to surpass Apple MacBook Neo with 24 GB RAM

Apple's MacBook Neo has caused quite a stir in the PC world (curr. $589 on Amazon). Undercutting the comparable Surface Laptop 13-inch by several hundred dollars after Microsoft's recent price rises, the MacBook Neo fared well in our recent review, too.
Last month, Digital Chat Station alleged that Huawei was developing the so-called MateBook Neo as an alternative. Now, the company has confirmed this laptop's existence, albeit under a different name. Arriving on April 20, the MateBook 14 HarmonyOS Edition appears to feature significantly thinner display bezels than Apple's counterpart.
Not only that, but the new MateBook 14 contains more ports than the MacBook Neo, with HDMI, USB Type-A, USB Type-C and 3.5 mm jack connections visible on the former's left-hand side alone. The company has not provided a look at the laptop's right-hand side yet, though. Huawei's choice of rounded keycaps is an unusual twist, too. Currently, the MateBook 14 is expected to line up with 24 GB of RAM, 512 GB of storage and a Kirin X90A chipset used in last year's MatePad Edge.
