Honor releases new 16-inch laptop with 180 Hz display and over 15 hours battery life

Earlier this year, Honor launched the MagicBook Pro 14 2026 built around Intel's Panther Lake platform. While we have reviewed Honor's latest MacBook Pro 14 rival, the company has not released it in any capacity. Instead, it has launched the cheaper MagicBook 14 2026 in China.
At the same time, it has also presented the larger MagicBook 16 2026. Again limited to China for the time being, the new MagicBook 16 also benefits from the Panther Lake platform with Intel's Core Ultra 5 336H or Core Ultra X7 358H processors. However, it does so with a numberpad unlike the comparable Galaxy Book6 16-inch (curr. $1,149 on Amazon).

Additionally, the MagicBook 16 2026 adopts a 2.5K IPS display with 500 nits peak brightness in SDR mode. A 16:10 panel, the MagicBook 16 2026 also offers a 180 Hz refresh rate with a 1,200:1 contrast ratio and 100% sRGB colour space coverage. Moreover, Honor includes a 92 Wh battery, which it rates for over 15 hours of real-world usage.
The MagicBook 16 2026 comes exclusively with 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB of M.2 2280 storage. Nonetheless, Honor includes dual M.2 2280 slots as with the smaller MagicBook 14 2026. Pricing starts at CNY 7,199 (~$1,055) with the Core Ultra 5 336H and rises to CNY 8,999 (~$1,319) with the more powerful Core Ultra X7 358H. There is no word on international availability yet, though.
