Good news Huawei fans: The company has announced its EMUI 9.1 roadmap for the end of Q2 and most of Q3. An array of Huawei devices will receive EMUI 9.1 in the next two months. There are a couple of notable absentees though, while Honor owners may feel hung out to dry.

Cast your mind back to April. A time before the US introduced sanctions against Huawei and when the Chinese company first announced that it would release EMUI 9.1 to a bevy of devices. Specifically, it planned to upgrade 49 Huawei and Honor devices, including some tablets, over the coming months.

Now, Huawei Central has got its hands on an updated release roadmap for devices that will receive EMUI 9.1 by the end of Q2 and Q3. The list contains 23 smartphones, all of which are Huawei. That is correct, no Honor smartphones or Huawei tablets will receive EMUI 9.1 before September. Huawei will stagger the rollout accordingly:

EMUI 9.1 from June 27

  • Huawei Mate 20
  • Huawei Mate 20 Pro
  • Huawei Mate 20 X
  • Huawei Mate 20 RS Porsche Design

EMUI 9.1 from July

  • Huawei P20
  • Huawei P20 Pro
  • Huawei Mate 10
  • Huawei Mate 10 Pro
  • Huawei Mate 10 RS Porsche Design
  • Huawei Mate 9
  • Huawei Mate 9 Pro
  • Huawei Y9 2019
  • Huawei Y6 2019
  • Huawei Y5 2019
  • Huawei Nova 3
  • Huawei Nova 3i
  • Huawei Nova 3e
  • Huawei Nova 4

EMUI 9.1 from August

  • Huawei P10
  • Huawei P10 Plus
  • Huawei P10 Lite
  • Huawei Mate 10
  • Huawei Mate 10 Pro

The notable absentees from that list are the Mate 20 Lite and Mate 9 Porsche Design, with Huawei previously claiming that it was testing EMUI 9.1 on both devices. Presumably, EMUI 9.1 will arrive by the end of Q3 or Q4 on these two, potentially along with the remaining from the April announcement too. The remaining devices that will receive EMUI 9.1 are:

  • Huawei Nova 4e
  • Huawei Enjoy 9 Plus
  • Huawei Enjoy 8 Plus
  • Huawei Enjoy Max
  • Huawei Enjoy 9S
  • Huawei Enjoy 7S
  • Huawei Enjoy 9e
  • Huawei MediaPad M5 10.1
  • Huawei MediaPad M5 8.4
  • Huawei MediaPad M5 8.0
  • Huawei MediaPad M5 Pro 10.8
  • Huawei MediaPad 5T 10.1
  • Honor Play
  • Honor 10
  • Honor Play 8A
  • Honor View 10
  • Honor View 10 Lite
  • Honor Note 10
  • Honor 9
  • Honor V9
  • Honor 8X
  • Honor 9 Lite
  • Honor 8X Max
  • Honor 20i
  • Honor 9i
  • Honor 7X

Please keep in mind that EMUI 9.1 may take a few weeks longer to arrive on some regional variants of devices that are set to receive the OS update in the next two months. Incidentally, the P20 Lite has already started receiving EMUI 9.1. Let us know in the comments if you have already had chance to try out EMUI 9.1 and your thoughts on it.
