What appears to be Honor's next foldable smartphone has appeared online again in a new set of leaks. This time, a new Honor smartphone has been certified with the 3C in China with the model numbers MTN-AN00 and MTN-AN80. Based on the listing, it seems that MTN-AN00 and MTN-AN80 are two versions of the same device rather than two distinct models.
Potentially, these could be Chinese versions of the Magic V5, which has previously surfaced on Geekbench with the model number MHG-AN00. XpertPick certainly believes so for the time being, particularly given that the charging wattages outstrip those expected to be offered by other upcoming Honor devices like the MagicPad 3.
As the screenshot below shows, Honor has certified the MTN-AN00 and MTN-AN80 with its HN-200400C00 and HN-200400C01 power supplies. Incidentally, while HN-200400C00 is rated for up to 80 W, it ships with the 66 W-rated Honor Power. With that being said, Honor included an appropriate charger with the Magic V3.
Thus, it looks more probable that Honor's next foldable will leverage 80 W charging rather than supporting 66 W charging but shipping with an 80 W charger. If this is the case, then it would see the Magic V5 matching the Oppo Find N5 while outdoing other modern foldables like the Pixel 9 Pro Fold (curr. $1,499.99 on Amazon). Currently, Honor is expected to deliver the Magic V5 later this month in China with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a battery that could surpass 6,000 mAh.
