Samsung is remaining rather coy about the state of its foldable division, at least for the time being. Publicly, the company has acknowledged that multiple models are in development. Based on recent leaks, the company has four foldables in the works, including its first tri-folding variant.
Earlier this week, Samsung suggested that one of these foldables would offer an 'Ultra experience'. From its press release, it also implied that it would be bringing its Ultra branding to the Galaxy Z Fold series for the first time, as it already does with its Galaxy S smartphones. However, leaker Arsène Lupin has spotted evidence that all but confirms that will not be the case.
Somehow, Lupin has discovered that a Galaxy Z Fold7 and Galaxy Z Flip7-specific version of the Samsung Internet Browser has been added to the Galaxy Store. Still active at the time of publication, the app cannot be installed on current-generation Galaxy foldables. Based on the screenshots shown in the listing, Samsung has not made any obvious changes from the browser it offers across its other devices.
With that being said, the Samsung Internet Browser for Fold7 and Flip7 bears a different version number, v28.0.2.43. Ultimately, the listing effectively nixes the idea that Samsung will be offering a Galaxy Z Fold Ultra this year, despite leading with that angle in initial teasers. Nonetheless, a recent leak suggests that the Galaxy Z Fold7 could be the first in its series to match the Galaxy S25 Ultra (curr. $929 on Amazon) with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.
