Samsung has just shared its first teaser for its next Galaxy Unpacked event, full coverage of which we have provided separately. Somewhat predictably, the company has led with a rather cryptic teaser that many have interpreted as referencing the creation of a Galaxy Z Fold Ultra. Based on past performance, Samsung will reveal precious little else between now and the summer.
Nonetheless, leakers like PandaFlashPro continue to fill the void of what to expect from Samsung’s next-generation Galaxy Z Fold. Writing on X, the leaker affirms that this year’s Galaxy Z Fold has its design origins in the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition rather than the Galaxy Z Fold6 (curr. $1,049.95 on Amazon). As a result, Samsung’s next Galaxy Z Fold should be noticeably wider than its current global model, which its official teaser suggests too.
If that is the case, then it would see the next Galaxy Z Fold surpassing the Oppo Find N5 when it comes to display size. However, PandaFlashPro asserts that the inclusion of thinner internal bezels should allow Samsung to install a 0.2-inch larger foldable display that will span 8.2-inches diagonally. The cameras from the Special Edition appear set to return though, with a 200 MP primary sensor aided by 10 MP telephoto and 12 MP ultra-wide-angle cameras. Incidentally, launch colours and storage options surfaced yesterday, too. Please see our earlier article for more information in this regard.
