Entrepreneurs wanting to equip their workforce with iPhones have it easy since the number of available models is not so large. But if you opt for Android smartphones, which are usually more flexible and, above all, cheaper, you are immediately overwhelmed by a flood of possible choices.
That said, we recently reviewed the Samsung Galaxy XCover7 Pro and it could be a good choice for businesses. It currently costs just under $600 at Amazon and was developed by Samsung with a strong focus on businesses:
- The smartphone is IP68 water and dust resistant, making it ideal for use in harsh working environments.
- Thanks to its high-quality screen protector and sturdy plastic casing, it can withstand drops.
- The XCover7 Pro is easy to use with gloves thanks to a special touchsreen mode.
- Samsung provides a 3-year warranty and also promises to sell the device for at least 2 years, allowing you to purchase additional devices if needed.
- One year of Knox Enterprise is included free upon purchase, allowing you to centrally manage a large number of smartphones and provide mobile security features and functions for field service.
- Samsung promises 7 years of updates from launch, i.e., until 2032.
- The removable battery allows you to extend the battery life.
- Compatibility with POGO chargers allows you to easily charge many devices simultaneously.
- The device has decent cameras, should you need them.
However, the XCover7 Pro is not entirely free of criticism. While the call quality is decent, the noise suppression is only average. And the screen could be brighter for outdoor use. There's also the question of how well the integrated AI features will be received by the company's IT department.
Overall, our extensive review shows that the Galaxy XCover7 Pro is a good choice for businesses, but it's not exactly cheap either.
