Galaxy Z Fold: Samsung teases new wider foldable offering an 'Ultra experience'
In recent years, Samsung has often waited until the last moment before revealing future release plans. To that end, the company held out until January 7 before confirming that it would be hosting its most recent Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22. This time, however, it has divulged details about what it has coming up this summer well ahead of schedule.
Just last week, the company hinted that its 'newest foldables' would serve to showcase stable One UI 8 builds based on Android 16. Now, it has invited fans to 'meet the next Chapter' as a tease for its next Galaxy Unpacked event. While Samsung has not confirmed the date of said event yet, it has hinted that a major change could be on the cards for this year's Galaxy Z Fold release.
Specifically, the company has implied that its next Galaxy Z Fold will bear 'Ultra' branding for the first time, adding that its next Galaxy Unpacked event will be when 'the Ultra experience is ready to unfold'. Until now, it seemed unlikely that Samsung would replace the Galaxy Z Fold6 with anything 'Ultra' branded.
