An update has arrived for the Home Assistant iOS and Android apps, version 2025.6. It follows the version 2025.5 release, which arrived in May 2025 with improvements for the onboarding process.
The release notes at the App Store for Home Assistant app version 2025.6 list several changes. Firstly, the update enables users to open the entity “more-info” section from the Control Centre. There is also a fix for a bug linked to the macOS Download folder, which was not always set as the default option. Missing measurement units in CarPlay sensor states have been reinstated. Plus, users can now reorder the servers in their app settings using drag and drop.
On top of this, for iOS users, it has been reported that an issue linked to the Home Assistant server has been resolved. Historically, there was no way for a user to open the settings in the companion app if the server was disconnected. As of the latest update, users will now see a Settings button when they open the app.
You can download the Home Assistant app version 2025.6 for iOS and Android from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store, respectively. At the start of July, there was a broader 2025.7 Home Assistant release, which brought a new Ask Question action to users of the open source home automation software.
