Released in 2016, Hearts of Iron IV (currently available for $39.99 via Amazon) is a grand strategy title that has managed to sell more than five million copies on Steam until mid-2023. The list of DLC updates that have come out ever since consists of nearly a dozen, with the first three (Together for Victory, Death or Dishonor, and Walking the Tiger) included with the base game in April 2024. The next in line is Graveyard of Empires, which has just been confirmed to arrive on March 4th.
The upcoming country pack mentioned above will add unique focus trees for the territories that today are India, Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan. In Graveyard of Empires, India is known as British Raj, a name used between 1858 and 1947. According to Paradox Development Studio, this DLC is about the imperial ambitions that collide in Central and South Asia's challenging lands. The British Empire, in control of Iraq and India, aims to spread its influence over Iran and Afghanistan, but Russia is also targeting them. Ultimately, the player must overcome the challenges and reshape the course of history, a recurring theme in the Hearts of Iron series.
On Steam, Hearts of Iron IV has over 235,000 "very positive" reviews and can be currently acquired for $49.99. Those who want to stay up to date and receive all expansions and additional content can subscribe for $7.99 a month or $14.99 every three months.
