Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was first teased in February, with an announcement trailer coming shortly afterwards. Now, Paradox Interactive (publisher) and Hardsuit Labs (developer – 33% owned by Paradox) have shown off a little more about the game, including an actual first glimpse at gameplay.
The video is called “Clan Introduction – Thinbloods,” and it focuses on the changes being experienced by someone who has recently been attacked by a vampire and is becoming a “thinblood.” Once the dark and eventually grizzly clip has finished at just after the one-minute mark, there is the briefest of sneak peeks into the pre-alpha gameplay, which only lasts a few seconds.
You might want to switch to full-screen mode at this point to get a better look at what’s going on. It seems the player is engaged in a battle with an adversary and is capable of utilizing a swarm of angry bats as a weapon. Thinbloods (newly created vampires) are one of the playable clans in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 and one of their powers is conveniently called “bat swarm,” so it looks like we can see a thinblood in action in the video. The game is currently available for pre-order and is expected to be released in March 2020.
