The free game section of Epic Games Store has been updated, and with that, the storefront has revealed the second-last set of free games of this month. From February 20, Epic's users can claim Garden Story and World War Z: Aftermath.

Epic Games Store is currently giving away F1 Manager 2024 and Apex Legends: Loba Bundle. This giveaway will last from now until February 20, 16:00 UTC, and after that, the storefront will give away a new set of free games. To be specific, from February 20 to February 27, Epic's users can claim Garden Story and World War Z: Aftermath for $0.

Among the two, World War Z: Aftermath is the main highlight. This soon-to-be Epic Games Store free game generally goes for $39.99 when there's no sale, and the base game has a "Very Positive" rating with over 18,000 player reviews. At the core, it's a shooter title with a heavy emphasis on co-op.

Players get to team up in groups and fight through large hordes of zombies. There are multiple playable locations, each with numerous levels and specific objectives. These objectives promote teamwork, and each player can play as eight distinct characters with unique perks and abilities.

As for the game mechanics, this soon-to-be free Epic Games Store game has both ranged and melee combat. The gameplay can get quite intense, as players can find themselves fighting against 1,000 zombies.

Getting to the second soon-to-be free game on Epic Games Store, it's Garden Story, and it's not so intense as World War Z. Instead, the developers describe it as a relaxing RPG, and the vibrant pixel art style that's combined with the cozy atmosphere fits the description well.

Of course, Garden Story also combines action elements with role-playing mechanics. To progress, players need to use different weapons to defeat enemies. There are puzzles as well. It has a "Very Positive" rating on Steam and generally goes for $19.99 when there's no sale, bringing the total value of Epic Games Store's next giveaway to around $60.
