HP has refreshed the Omen Transcend 14 with Intel Arrow Lake-H processors. It weighs just 1.6 kg, making it one of the lighter gaming laptops available on the market. However, this compact form factor comes at the cost of GPU choices, which are sadly restricted to the GeForce RTX 5070.
For the CPU, you can pick between an Intel Core Ultra 9 285H and Core Ultra 7 255H. An HX CPU isn't be viable due to the Omen Transcend 14's compact chassis. On the plus side, you can configure it with up to 64 GB of DDR5-7500 RAM and up to a 2 TB PCIe NVMe SSD with an additional "Performance" option.
The HP Omen Transcend 14 comes with a 16:10 14-inch (2,880 x 1,800) OLED panel with 400 nits peak brightness, 0.2 ms grey-to-grey response time and 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage. A 71 Wh battery powers the laptop, and it comes with a 140 Watt USB-C charger to charge it.
Despite its thin chassis, the HP Omen Transcend 14 comes with a decent selection of I/O. You get a Thunderbolt 4.0 port, a USB-C 10 Gbps port, two USB-A 10 Gbps ports, an HDMI 2.1 port and 3.5 mm audio jack. Wireless connectivity options include an up to Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 combo adapter.
Other HP Omen Transcend 14 specs include a 1080p IR-enabled webcam, a four-zone backlit RGB keyboard, and dual-speakers. It comes in two colours: Shadow black / Ceramic white.
