Human Mobile Devices (or HMD) defines itself as the "largest maker of European smartphones" on the market - just not those with Nokia branding any more. The Android devices in question have now been removed from its webstores in the region, although feature phones of that name still remain.

Nokia had persevered as one of the few alternatives to SamsungGoogle and Motorola in some markets in terms of new Android smartphones for quite some time. However, it seems those efforts are at an end with HMD's latest stock shake-up.

Human Mobile Devices assured its users that it would still identify as the source of Nokia phones on its rebrand from HMD Global; however, a number of the brand's devices are now missing from the company's websites for countries such as the UK and Germany.

It still lists the 225, the 235 4G and the new 3210 - not to mention the Barbie Phone - however, others such as the G60 and G42 are gone.

They are still available on Amazon, however. In addition, the HMD equivalent of other Nokia smartphones, such as the XR21, are available via their OEM, with others that might have the DNA of its old brands reportedly on the way - the 'new Lumia' included.
