A week ago, HMD Global uploaded a new video on YouTube, which went over the brand's plans for the future. It only focused on new HMD-branded devices, making many believe there won't be Nokia-branded phones anymore. The Finnish manufacturer later clarified the matter, saying, "You will continue to see new Nokia phones!"

The video posted by HMD Global on January 31 sparked conversations about it ditching Nokia branding. It's mainly because the video hinted that the Finnish company will be introducing many HMD-branded devices, including smartphones, tablets, and wireless earbuds, with no mention of Nokia-branded products.

However, three days ago, HMD Global uploaded another video on YouTube (attached at the end). This video introduced the brand as the "makers of Nokia phones" and went over the standout aspects of the smartphones.

The video ended with a note saying, "Get a Nokia phone! Now available at HMD.com." It's also worth noting that the company's official website got a makeover when the January 31 video went live. The updated website had the same slogan as the video posted later.

HMD Global has also been actively replying to queries from users on Twitter about the matter, which clarifies everything. All these replies have one common statement: "You will continue to see new Nokia phones." In other words, the Finnish phone manufacturer won't stop making Nokia-branded devices.

Moreover, in one of the replies to user queries (tweet embedded below), HMD further explains that its "multi-brand strategy" will have HMD-branded devices "as well as Nokia phones." The company has also teased about "exciting new partnerships" in this reply.

All of this is in line with the announcement made by the company's CEO, Jean-Francois Baril, last September. In the LinkedIn announcement, Baril said, "You can expect to see a new portfolio of HMD branded mobile devices, as well as Nokia devices."
