Earlier this week, initial details about the fifth Redmi A series smartphone surfaced online. To recap, Xiaomi released the Redmi A2 (curr. $78.70 on Amazon) and Redmi A2 Plus last March, six months after the Redmi A1 and Redmi A1 Plus. Not only has Xiaomi now confirmed the release date of the Redmi A3, but it has also confirmed various specifications and provided a few official device renders.
As the images below show, the Redmi A3 draws inspiration from the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, whose successor may launch globally later this month. Dubbed 'Halo Design', the design includes a gigantic circular camera housing, as well as textured back panels and subtly curved mid-frames. However, the Redmi A3 features a pared-down camera system, with two rear-facing lenses shown along with an LED flash array.
Additionally, the Redmi A3 has a 5,000 mAh battery, 6 GB of RAM at its disposal and a 90 Hz display. Xiaomi has confirmed that the latter measures 6.71-inches across, although we would not be surprised to see a 720p IPS panel present like the Redmi A1 and Redmi A2 series. Xiaomi will present the Redmi A3 first in India, where it will debut on February 14.
