Nokia 220 4G (2024) debuts as India's latest Snake phone
The Nokia 220 4G has joined the 2660 Flip and 8210 4G in HMD's feature phone portfolio for the Indian market.
Essentially, it is a 235 4G without the a rear camera, although the tiny LED flash remains, repurposed as a torch. However, it still boasts "modern" attributes such as Bluetooth and USB-C for charging.
Nevertheless, it makes sure to pack the latest version of Snake - which is all its 64 megabytes (MB) of RAM and 128MB of internal storage seems to be able to handle.
Accordingly, HMD invites the user to go back to a simpler time in terms of content consumption - then again, some things smartphone users might take for granted as pre-loads such as YouTube Shorts - can be streamed onto the device in the form of Cloud Apps.
The 220 4G is easy on the pocket (on a number of levels) at just INR 3,249 (~$39) in black or peach via HMD or Amazon, whereas the 235 4G (2024) has also now debuted in India at INR 3,749 (~$45).
