Govee releases new vintage-style smart bulbs in more countries

The Govee Smart Edison Light Bulb in a new globe shape has been released in Europe. It joins the earlier, more traditionally shaped Smart Edison Bulb from the brand. It is also worth noting that this smart bulb was released in the US earlier in May 2026 (4-pack curr. $69.99 at Amazon).
Govee’s new globe-shaped Smart Edison Light Bulb is designed to be used as an exposed bulb, though it could also be used with a shade. It measures 80 mm (~3.15 inches) wide and has an E27 screw cap. At the centre of the bulb is a COB light strip in a double helix shape, offering 25 LEDs per inch. This is said to generate up to 500 lumens brightness, which can be dimmed as necessary.
In the Govee Home app, users of the Smart Edison Light Bulb can choose from 64 scene modes, or create their own lighting effects choosing from over 16 million colours. There is also the ability to adjust the white color temperature between 2,700 and 6,500K. Plus, these vintage-style smart bulbs can be controlled with voice assistants like Siri, and Matter support should allow integration with many smart home ecosystems.
You can now buy the Govee E27 Smart Edison Light Bulb G80 in EU countries. At Amazon Germany, a single bulb is available for €24.99, while a 2-pack retails for €44.99. At Amazon Netherlands, the same 2-pack is priced at €47.99. It is unclear when these products will roll out to other European countries.
