Govee launches new smart LED light strip with Matter support
Govee has launched a new smart LED light strip. The Govee Strip Light 2 recently became available directly from the manufacturer and through Amazon.
Govee offers the 16.4-ft version for an MSRP of $59.99 and the 32.8-ft version for $94.99. The coupon code SL4330 provides a 30% discount during the first three days but might be limited to certain countries. The Govee Strip Light 2 is also available on Amazon. Available options include a 9.8-ft version for an MSRP of $49.99 and a 16.4-ft version for $59.99. All versions can be cut to the desired length.
The Govee Strip Light 2 succeeds the standard Govee RGBIC LED Strip Light and sits below the existing Govee Strip Light 2 Pro, which is more expensive. The new light strip uses LuminBlend+ color technology and RGBWWIC 5-in-1 LEDs, which are designed to produce vivid colors while enabling segmented control and smooth transitions.
In addition to 16 million colors, the Govee Strip Light 2 offers adjustable white tones ranging from warm to cool light. It includes more than 100 preset scenes, while the AI Lighting Bot can create custom lighting effects using AI. Compared with its predecessor, Govee has added a protective coating to the light strip, improved white light reproduction, and introduced Matter support. The new light strip also supports Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, with Wi-Fi now available alongside Bluetooth for broader smart home integration.
