Geekom IT13 2026 Edition: Mini-PC in the familiar NUC design meets Panther Lake

Externally, there is nothing new to discover about the Geekom IT13 2026 Edition. The mini-PC continues to feature the familiar NUC design with its compact and functional case. The Geekom Mini IT13 2025 Edition was already equipped with powerful hardware in the form of the Intel Core i9-13900HK. For the new generation, however, Geekom is taking a different approach: The proven chassis is combined with a modern Panther Lake platform from Intel. As a result, despite its familiar appearance, the IT13 could be significantly more technically interesting than before. The combination with the Intel Core Ultra 7 356H could be a particular highlight when it comes to the integrated graphics unit, as the new iGPU promises a significant performance leap over the previous solution. This means the mini-PC is not only designed for classic office tasks but should also offer sufficient performance reserves for more demanding multitasking and local AI applications.

Another variant offers even greater affordability: Geekom will also offer the IT13 mini-PC with Raptor-Lake-H-SoCs starting at $512 on Amazon with an Intel Core i5 13500H. However, the Intel Core i5-13500H is still based on an older platform. Particularly in terms of integrated graphics, the more affordable version is therefore likely to lag significantly behind the modern Panther Lake model with the Core Ultra 7 356H. Those who prioritize maximum iGPU performance would be better off with the new platform.

As for the case, however, everything remains the same. The familiar NUC format is compact and can be placed on a desk to save space. Using a VESA mount, the computer can also be hidden behind a monitor. The selection of ports remains extensive and includes, among other things, USB4, HDMI, 2.5 Gbit LAN, and fast Wi-Fi. Multiple external monitors can be connected simultaneously.

The RAM is expandable and, according to the manufacturer, can be upgraded to up to 64 GB. Options for expanding storage capacity are also available. This makes the IT13 more flexible than many particularly compact mini-PCs with fully soldered components.

The exciting part of this new edition, therefore, takes place exclusively under the hood. While the case relies on proven NUC DNA, Panther Lake is expected to deliver a significant technical leap forward. The key factor will be how well the new platform works with the existing cooling system. Especially under prolonged load, performance, temperatures, noise levels, and power consumption should reveal just how successful the combination of the old shell and new technology actually is.

The Geekom IT13 2026 Edition thus retains a familiar look but receives a major technical upgrade. The familiar NUC design meets modern Panther Lake power—and it’s precisely this combination that makes the new IT13 so interesting.
