Fiio Snowsky Echo Nano launches in US: MP3 player channeling iconic Sony Network Walkman vibes

The Fiio Snowsky Echo Nano portable Hi-Res Audio MP3 player and DAC is now available on Amazon for $49.99 in Green, Pink, Sky Blue, and White. The previously leaked Echo Nano channels the iconic look of 2000s-era Sony Network Walkman MP3 players, while delivering updated support for modern music file formats.
The Echo Nano is a slim MP3 player similar in size to a lighter and measures 83.5 x 23 x 14 mm (3.29 x 0.91 x 0.55 in.). The body is CNC-machined from an aluminum-magnesium alloy. At one end, it has a protected metal control knobm and at the other, it has a 3.5 mm headphone jack. A 0.91-inch multi-line OLED display is located on the side, echoing the design of the 2006 Sony Network Walkman NW-S600/S700F series.

The 33.5 g (1.18 oz.) player takes a microSD card up to 256 GB for storage of music, including MP3, M4A, OGG, DSD256, and 192 kHz 24-bit WAV, FLAC, and APE files. Its 360 mAh battery delivers up to 7 hours of playback, according to Fiio.
Thanks to a Cirrus Logic CS43131 MasterHIFI audio D/A converter, the Fiio Snowsky Echo Nano is Sony Hi-Res Audio certified. It can output 32 mW per channel at 32 ohms to 3.5 mm headphones, with a THD under 0.0003% and SNR over 129 dB.
The Echo Nano can also be used as an external sound card when connected to computers, phones, tablets, and game consoles with USB UAC support.
