Fallout is a licence that is still highly appreciated by players around the world thanks to its gameplay and post-apocalyptic universe. And faced with this popularity, a remaster of Fallout 3 still seems to be in preparation and a potential release date was also announced by an insider.
Thus, it should be noted that at the beginning, the remaster of this game was leaked on the internet through official Microsoft documents during its trial against the FTC for the acquisition of Activision and Blizzard. And needless to say that this had delighted fans around the world.
But since then, no information has been unveiled, putting fans in an unbearable wait. And that’s not all, because in the meantime, The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion Remastered was released in April 2025, meeting a huge success with players. Therefore, some people might think that the Fallout 3 remaster would be abandoned, which is far from being the case.
Indeed, Detective Seeds recently spoke out on X, mentioning some excellent news: “Would not be surprised to see Fallout 3 Remastered launch next April after the conclusion of the ESO event”. In other words, he evokes a release window thinking that this remaster could be unveiled to the general public during the month of April 2026.
And it is not for nothing that he indicates this. It must be said that The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion Remastered was released in April 2025 after a similar event and it would not be surprising if Bethesda repeats this operation during next year.
However, while this sounds promising and could allow Fallout fans to rediscover the third opus, released in 2008, brought up to date, it is only a simple prediction. So, in the absence of official information from Bethesda, it's best not to jump to conclusions and keep an eye on the official accounts for any announcement on this subject.
