Fallout 76 gets its biggest update in 5 years and arrives in Ohio

Since its release in 2018, Fallout 76 has continued to be popular with players around the world. And soon, fans of the game will have the opportunity to discover a whole new environment with the biggest update the game has seen in five years.

Regarding the details of this content called Burning Springs, players will be able to explore Ohio in a post-nuclear universe. And while this choice of region may seem surprising, Jonathan Rush, creative director of Fallout 76, explains: 

"So when we decided to do another regional expansion which kind of satisfies all those criteria, we were looking at the map, and we looked towards the east, and we start to skirt towards, like, the Capital Wasteland stuff. And so we were looking towards the west and realized, 'Oh, we're right up against Ohio,' and not much has been done in that region in Fallout lore… So why not?”

And that's not all, because new characters and factions will also be making an appearance. A new mutant named the Rust King will be featured in this expansion, and players will be able to collaborate with him. In addition, there will be different locations to discover and several missions to complete in order to obtain better equipment. Not to mention that the Radhog, a kind of local menace, which might cause some problems for players.

But there is one big new feature, and it concerns The Ghoul. This character from the Fallout series on Amazon will be in Burning Springs, played by Walton Goggins. However, this is not a companion or playable character, and players will be able to pick up missions from him at The Last Resort in Highway Town in order to earn rewards. And as for the release date of this update, we will have to wait until October 28.
