Starfield not coming to PS5 before 2026, according to an insider

Released over two years ago, Starfield has benefited from several updates to meet players expectations, but that's not all, as it is also eagerly awaited on the PS5. However, if you are one of those players, you will probably have to wait a little longer.

To understand this, it's important to note that in August 2025, @NateTheHate2 hinted that Starfield would be released on the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026. And that this game would probably be released on the PS5 at the end of this year, much to the delight of thousands of gamers who are eagerly awaiting this port.

But he recently spoke up in a comment on X, announcing some bad news. Indeed, NateTheHate said the following when someone asked him when Starfield would be available on PS5: 

"Believe the announcement will be in 2026 unless plans change.” 

Thus, it will probably not be possible to play Starfield on PS5 in 2025, which may disappoint some of you. But the project is still underway, and if it doesn't see the light of day in the coming months, it will certainly make an appearance in 2026.

However, while NateTheHate is generally well informed, this information should be taken with a grain of salt. Bethesda has not made any announcements on this subject, and nothing has been finalized yet.
