Bethesda is reissuing the Fallout Anthology as the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Edition, packing seven games into a charming mini-nuke container aimed primarily at long-time fans of the series. Preorders are now already possible.

Bethesda Gear International is now taking preorders for a brand new Fallout S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Anthology Edition. Interested customers can now preorder the game collection for $60, with delivery starting on April 11, one day before the launch of the brand new live-action series set in the Fallout universe.

Neither the idea nor the design are new - Bethesda launched an anthology with the same look almost a decade ago. However, the content has been replaced and the games no longer come in disk form, but simply as download codes.

The codes are printed on charming cards in the style of the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. skill selection in the Fallout universe. While the older anthology only contained Fallout Tactics and the main parts of the series, i.e. Fallout 1, 2, 3 and 4, the new edition contains Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate and Fallout 76. However, there is no trace of Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel from 2004.

All games included in the package are Steam codes, meaning that a Steam account and an active internet connection are required to redeem the codes and play the seven titles. The highlight of the special edition is the packaging, like the earlier one: the games are delivered in a Fallout-style mini-nuke, which has an integrated battery and mimics the sound effect of a Fallout nuke when touched. Each customer can only preorder one copy.
