The Emotn N1 portable projector, a new product from the Dangbei sub-brand, has arrived in the US. The compact gadget has a native 1080p resolution and can throw images from 60 to 120-in (~152 to 305 cm) wide. The 1.25:1 throw ratio means the larger picture requires a throw distance of 3.15 m (~10.33 ft). With an LED light source, expected to last 30,000 hours, the projector has up to 500 ANSI lumens brightness and supports HDR10.
The N1 runs on Linux, allowing you to stream content on the N1 from services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and YouTube; each platform has a dedicated hotkey on the accompanying remote. Emotn claims you can perfect the image in as little as three seconds using ToF (time of flight) laser autofocus and auto keystone correction tools. The projector has two built-in 5 W speakers with support for Dolby Audio and generates less than 26 dB of running noise. With 5G Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, you can wirelessly pair external speakers to the projector.
Ports on the device include HDMI, USB-A and an audio jack. The gadget is available in gray or white, measures 7.16 x 4.92 x 7.55-in (~18.2 x 12.5 x 19.2 cm) and weighs 4.24 lbs (~1.9 kg). You can currently buy the Emotn N1 portable projector in the US for US$399.99. You can now get US$50 off this price at Amazon using an in-page coupon.
