MagyarHusqvarna Automower Aspire R4 cheaper robot mower has just arrived
Husqvarna has launched a new cheaper robot lawn mower, the Automower Aspire R4. The gadget can cover an area of around 400 m² (~4,300 ft²) in size and can handle inclines up to 25%. It is worth noting that the device requires you to install a boundary wire to help it navigate your lawn. You can control the Aspire R4 with the Automower Connect app, setting your preferred cutting height and a mowing schedule.
You can also use the app to push OTA updates to the device. With Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, the new Automower is compatible with various smart home systems, allowing you to control the robot with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice commands. Innovative features of the Husqvarna robot mower include a Weather Timer, which automatically adjusts the frequency of mowing based on the predicted growth rate of the grass. A similar tool, Frost Guard, pauses your mowing schedule to protect the grass when it turns cold. The device can also navigate through 60 cm (~23.6-in) wide passageways.
The compact mower, which measures 55 x 33 x 22 cm (~21.7 x 13.0 x 8.7-in), is powered by a 2 Ah lithium-ion battery. The power pack allows the gadget to work for up to 70 minutes on a single charge; you can fully recharge the device in around 75 minutes. Despite being one of Husqvarna’s cheapest robotic lawn mowers, the Automower Aspire R4 costs £929 in the UK or €949 in the EU (~US$1,100), making it more expensive than competitor options. It is unclear whether or when the gadget could launch in the US.
