Eve MotionBlinds Upgrade Kit for Roller Blinds is now available
The Eve MotionBlinds Upgrade Kit for Roller Blinds is now available in the EU. The new product, an honoree at the CES 2023 Innovation Awards, lets you convert your regular blinds into smart ones. The Eve Upgrade Kit is compatible with Apple HomeKit, enabling you to control the blinds via the Apple Home app or Siri voice commands. This means that you can adjust the gadget at home or out and about using your smartphone.
Alternatively, you could set a schedule for the Eve smart roller blinds, adjusting the position of the blind at various points in the day. With Bluetooth and Thread connectivity, you can set scenes to trigger multiple smart home products at once. For example, a “good night” voice command could close the blinds and turn off linked smart lights. To install the smart blind converter kit, you need to replace the existing mechanism in your blind, sliding a motor inside the tube.
The gadget is compatible with a tube outer measuring from 1.5 to 2-in (~38 to 51 mm) and at least 26.75-in (680 mm) long. You also need to replace the mounting brackets. The device is powered by an integrated battery which you can recharge via USB-C. You can buy the Eve MotionBlinds Upgrade Kit for Roller Blinds in countries such as the Netherlands, Sweden, and France for €199.95 (~US$213). The gadget will launch in the US on March 28 for $199.95.
