Dell launches new Pro Max desktop with Nvidia GB300 and 496 GB LPDDR5X RAM

Dell has expanded its Pro Max desktop range with a new all-Nvidia offering. For context, the Pro Max Tower T2 arrived last year with a choice of Intel Arrow Lake processors. By contrast, the new Pro Max features Nvidia's GB300 processor that runs Ubuntu with Nvidia's AI Developer tools.
Announced last year, the GB300 serves as a significantly more powerful alternative to the GB10 that is now available in mini-PCs like the Asus Ascent GX10 (curr. $3,498 on Amazon). While the GB10 features 20 CPU cores, the GB3000 adopts a 72-core processor with integrated DGX B300 graphics. Also, Dell complements the GB300 with the RTX Pro 2000 Blackwell Generation laptop GPU, which features 16 GB of GDDR7 VRAM and 3,328 CUDA cores.
Meanwhile, the new Pro Max has 496 GB of LPDDR5X-6400 RAM and 16 TB of storage at its disposal within a housing that measures 610 x 569 x 231 mm and weighs 38.67 kg. The new desktop ships with a 1600 W Titanium PSU, too. Dell claims to have shipped the Pro Max with GB300 to 'select customers' this month. The company hopes to expand shipments 'more broadly' over the next few months. It has decided against providing full pricing and availability details yet.
