Dell unveils Dell Pro Precision 5 Series 14 and 16 with Intel Panther Lake and LPCAMM memory

Dell has officially unveiled two new laptops for enterprise users. They belong to the Precision lineup and come with Intel Panther Lake CPUs and Nvidia RTX Pro GPUs. The Dell Precision 5 Series 14 and Precision 5 Series 16 are slightly downgraded from the Precision 7 series, with fewer GPUs to pick from and no tandem OLED screen.
Starting with the Dell Pro Precision 5 Series 14, one can pick between an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H, Core Ultra 7 366H and Core Ultra 5 336H Panther Lake CPU. Those looking for a dGPU have to make do with the RTX Pro 500 Blackwell platform with 6 GB VRAM or use the Intel Arc iGPU.
On the other hand, the Dell Pro Precision 5 Series 16 offers three GPU choices: RTX Pro Blackwell 500, RTX Pro Blackwell 1000 (8 GB) and RTX Pro Blackwell 2000 (8 GB). CPU options are identical across both SKUs.
The Dell Pro Precision 5 Series 14 and Dell Pro Precision 5 Series 16 support up to 64 GB of LPCAMM LPDDR5x-8533 memory. One can pair it with up to a 2 TB M.2 2280 NVMe SSD.
GPU choices aside, the main difference between the two laptops is the screen size. At the very least, you get a 14-inch or 16-inch IPS LCD panel in three flavours: FHD+ (1,920 x 1,200), 60 Hz refresh rate, and 400 nits peak brightness. It is available in touch and non-touch flavours.
There are some minor differences between the QHD+ (2,560 x 1,660) variants. The Pro Precision 5 Series 14 limits the refresh rate to 90 Hz, whereas the Pro Precision 5 Series 16 ups it to 120 Hz. Both panels have a peak brightness of 400 nits and cover 100% of the sRGB colour gamut.
I/O is identical across both models, which get two Thunderbolt 4.0 ports, two 5 Gbps USB-A ports, one HDMI 2.1 port, a 3.5 mm audio port and one RJ45 Ethernet jack. Wireless connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.
Lastly, the Pro Precision Series 14 comes with a 72 Wh battery, whereas the Pro Precision Series 16 lets one pick between a 64 Wh and 96 Wh cell. Dell says both laptops will be available for purchase in May 2026.
