Dell Meeting Space Solutions are ready for the physical boardrooms of the future
Dell has developed its Meeting Space Solutions as bundles of products designed to take the hassle out of updating a post-Covid-19 boardroom, conference room, learning space or other in-person collaboration setting. They all have one common element, however: the OptiPlex 7080 Micro compact desktop, which can control the peripherals included with the rest of a given Solution.
They include Dell's new line of large-scale 4K Conference Monitors, which come in non-touch (CxxxxQ) or touch (CxxxxQT) variants of different sizes. Each set-up is completed with at least one of a range of Logitech accessories or webcams that are also cherry-picked to suit the size of room and average number of attendants in question.
For example, the OEM would recommend that a relatively small conferencing suite intended to seat about 2 to 4 people be outfitted with a Solution including a Dell 55 4K Conference Room Monitor (C5519Q); a Logitech MeetUp ConferenceCam and a Tap Touch Controller from the same partner.
A larger room for perhaps up to 15 workers, on the other hand, might benefit from a Dell 86 4K Interactive Touch Monitor (C8621Q); a Logitech Rally Plus ConferenceCam with Rally mic, pod and hub and a Tap Touch Controller.
These different bundles can also cater to 2 different conferencing platforms, namely Zoom Rooms and Microsoft Teams Rooms. For example, Dell recommends multiple smaller 4K Conference Room Monitors for the former.
These Meeting Space Solutions are thus mostly directed at rooms with screen-facing tables. However, Dell asserts that they can also work with classroom-type seating arrangements. Accordingly, they are also intended to work with software such as Google for Education, the FlatFrog virtual whiteboard platform and DisplayNote. Dell has stated that their availability will vary by country and can be assessed by contacting their representatives.
