Huawei has a new, 24-inch slim-bezel monitor in the works: new leak
Earlier rumors have indicated that Huawei may be planning to break into the PC monitor market soon. A new leak published by ITHome may lend more weight to this idea. However, unlike the curved units hinted at in a previous leak, the upcoming peripheral in question appears to have a flat screen.
According to the media outlet, which claims to have received this new tip from one of its viewers, the device is called the Huawei AD80HW Monitor and is built around a 23.8-inch panel. According to its alleged product information, it is IPS and has narrow borders on 3 sides with a bit of a chin at the bottom.
An image of the putative Huawei display's other side shows it is made of an unspecified dark gray material in a restrained style with the OEM's logo located centrally above its fairly standard-looking stand. This render also shows its ports, albeit in far from perfect clarity.
There seem to be only 3: a possible HDMI, a USB that might be type C and another that could be a DisplayPort. Finally, this new leak also states that Huawei will be farming the manufacture of this "AD80HW Monitor" out to BOE, as its rumored curved counterparts will be outsourced to an ODM called TPV Technology.
